Table for Two

I'm joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for this weeks Tablescape Thursday. I hope you'll check it out and visit everyone else's tablescapes.

I wanted to share some dishes we brought back with us from Jordan. These too were hand carried on the plane. Many didn't make it. There was a collection of graduated square plates but only one survived and it's chipped so it can't be used for any thing but decoration.

Even Spartacus, our cat, wanted to join in today.

The pillow is hand appliqued from Egypt. They cozy up the chairs.

The flatware is from my Mother in law. She passed it along for one of her grandkids to "inherit".

Everyday Plate.

Thanks for looking. I hope you enjoyed the handwork of painted ceramic plates from Jordan.

Your dishes are truly beautiful. It is sad that they didn't all make it in one piece.

Oh, what a shame most of your dishes didn't make it. I love the colors and the delicate print. They are beautiful. I'm always afraid to buy dishes or glassware when I travel for just that reason. I hear a lot of people package it up and ship it home. I'm heartbroken for you.

Oh, how stunning! I love that pillow. I use to do that kind of stitching. Painstaking, but beautiful.

Woweekazowie!! I love those dishes. You must have been heart broken when some of them were broken---hmm, maybe you could make something from the broken ones. I like the look of them with the wood table...nice

Your ceramics are wonderfully intricate & I can see why you carried them back home with you. I'm sorry some have broken but that makes the ones you still have all the more special.
Very interesting tablescape! :)
